Realise your potential in the natural environment

Corporate volunteering and team building

Whatever your objectives as a business, whether it be volunteering or team building for employees, we can tailor a fun and varied programme to suit your requirements.

All activities take place at our site with its 130 acres of stunning woodland in the heart of the Somerset countryside, just a short drive from Bristol. You can choose from half day or full day programmes, or for longer periods stay at our lodge on site which sleeps up to 38 people and comes with our cottage, complete with its fully equipped catering kitchen. There is also full use of a new yurt, fire pit and outdoor spacious classroom and access to the woodland. For larger groups we can also supply tents on our 8 acre field adjoining the lodge.

Please contact us to discuss your requirements, as there are many options available.

Volunteering with us

There are always a number of important tasks we need to do to maintain our lodge and woodland site here at Goblin Combe. Volunteering your time with us not only builds stronger team working relationships, but also fosters a strong sense of wellbeing and positivity. As importantly, work completed by volunteer groups helps sustain the site for the funded work we carry out with local groups like mental health charities and addiction treatment centres, as well as working to support older people in the community with isolation and loneliness.

We can tailor a programme to suit your individual objectives, but as an overview some volunteer tasks could include: painting/decorating our grade II listed cottage, repairing woodland boundary walls, planting raised beds and planters, as well as woodland conservation and maintenance work such as coppicing and scrub clearance.

Team Away days

We can put together any combination of activities to build your team development, but the key basis will be that participants have a fun time! The day can focus on one activity for the day/half day, or it can include a mix of activities within a team challenge event, allowing groups to compete against one another.

Many corporate groups that come to us combine different activities they have never tried like archery and the woodland assault course, along with volunteering tasks, which makes for a fun, challenging and fulfilling experience.

Its time to unleash your inner Robin Hood! Participants will be introduced to the fun and engaging sport of Archery and given plenty of time to practice under the watchful and helpful instruction of their leader before being challenged to compete in various games and competitions including, balloon popping, high scores, distance and even blindfolded shooting

Woodland bushcraft cooking
You’ve seen Bear Grylls on the TV, now it’s your turn to try some outdoor cooking in your own small wilderness! Follow a trail to a woodland camp where you will learn how to start a fire without matches, before building a fire to cook up a delicious recipe for your group meal.

Woodland navigation challenge
Working in teams you must navigate your way around the woodland; at each checkpoint you will have the opportunity to earn points by delivering a series of found items and completing challenges along the way, including an assault course, lighting a fire and putting up a tent.

The Great Goblin Rally Enterprise Challenge
Using collective ingenuity, and working in small teams you will plan, design and build a go kart. But first you will need to devise how to assemble the parts you need from the materials auction, using scavenged items like wood, cable reels and rope. After some pre-race testing, it’s time take part in the final challenge of the Great Goblin Rally!
